X-70 gets token and history lesson

Hunted an older church that has been torn down with Lisa and another friend on Sunday. We have been on the site a few times and I've been skunked while the others have found some nice coins and jewelery. I got a solid TID of 30 at about 2" and figured I'd go ahead and dig a new zinc penny so I'd have at least one find to show for myself. Turned out to be a token from an old shooting gallery game. The token was completely crusted but cleaned up nicely. The pics. are from Internet research and not of the one that I found (camera problems). The machines were made from 1919-1959 and for a penny, the shooter could test their skill. If the score was high enough, the machine would spin reels like a slot machine and award a token for a free game. Also got a small 925 ring with some pink glass stones. Fun hunt!

Thanks for looking.

Congrats on the ring, and the token. The history behind the token is cool, thanks for sharing. Nice hunt, Beale.
