X-1 probe question

I want to get one in the next month or so, but here's my dilema. If I request that the probe be mounted on the right side of the battery compartment (I swing with my right arm) I may be goofing myself up if I later want to get a Birch Engr hip mount kit and then would want the probe mounted on the left side of the battery compartment. Is there a way I can have my cake now and still have some later if I choose the hip mount kit? Has anyone added the X-1, and then later added the hip mount kit? I guess I'm asking for the best of both worlds.Thanks.

my probe is mounted on top of the upper shaft, so it's neither left nor right. handy to get on & off, but it does change the balance of the machine a little. good luck & hh.

Fred;
If you swing with your right arm the switch will be mounted to face left and the probe will also be mounted on the left so you can get to it with your free hand. This can be changed later on the probe mount as it is mounted with 4 cable ties

The SwitchBox is what SunRay mounts on the bottom of your Upper Rod assymbly.
The Probe holder bracket is held on via Zip Ties and is up to you where you put it, they send it loose (easy as pie to zip tie on).
So you can put on Top of upper rod, Left of battery compart or Right of battery compartment.
