I bought this detector About a year ago and have never used it. I am getting more into bench rest shooting and have no time for it. When I received this unit I tried it in our backyard to make sure it worked. Removed the coil covers. Took the batteries out and put it away. Have to admit it was an impulse buy. Anyway I would rate this machine a 10 except for one thing. Stupidly, I for got how to open the battery compartment and used a small screwdriver to push in on what I thought were tabs. NOT! Then I realized the cap turned off. So, in the picture you can see my work with the screwdriver. Included with the detector are the standard coil and a 5x8 DD. There are no coils covers. Don't believe in them. Instead the coil bottoms each have about 3-4 coats of spray rubber. Also included are some, in perfect condition, Gray Ghost headphones. NO body funk!! Will sell all for $500.
