The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

Rules for Non Sponsoring Sellers:

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
  • Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.
  • Do not put links to eBay.
  • Do not put links to other forums where you may also have the same item for sale or trade.
  • Dealers are not allowed to post in Classifieds unless they are a sponsor.

wtb gray ghost CTX headphones

Mike... I have a pair of Grey Ghost Amphibian Headphones that I bought from a fellow who also ---LOVED THE GREY GHOST AMPHIBIAN--- over all others, so he was attempting to CONVERT A FACTORY STOCK CTX 3030 GREY GHOST AMPHIBIAN HEADPHONES to fit his new Equinox. I wanted to do the same, get these to work on the Equinox 800. But for some reason, he had no sound with the new plug, either side, even with the original 3030 plug back on??? So simply put, he has his wires crossed somewhere inside. He sent them to me without the plug either, just the open cut end on the cord.

I did check with the company that makes Grey Ghost headphones, and they emailed me and stated (very cordial and friendly) that they will gladly restore these to the original 3030 spec plug, and do a complete sound check, and overall check-out of these headphones.

Regardless...they look very nice, ALMOST LIKE NEW... and simply have the 3030 plug cut off the end and missing. Plus of course the wiring needs straightening out. If you wanted to fix these yourself, that's an option too, as I'm sure this standard size Minelab CTX 3030 plug is available from any dealer, probably ordered in.

My price is $75 (SEVENTY-FIVE DOLLARS U.S. PayPal....friends and family only. OR send a -personal check- and after a short time to clear, my wife will give me the ok to ship.

The PRICE...Which is less than HALF THE PRICE OF NEW! I Paid --- $189--- from some "MINER" guy store..." for my CTX 3030 pair of the exact same headphones. --I love the sound of these-- and even use them with my very high end Minelab GPZ 7000, an almost five figure machine with the GPZ 19" coil with it.-

NOT WANTING YOU TO TAKE ANY RISKS ON THESE, BUT WANTING TO SEE THEM FIND A GOOD HOME... I WILL EVEN INCLUDE A WARRANTY !!!. And you can check on me as a customer and friend of Richard of Backwoods Metal Detectors...a sponsor of this forum. (Mention your friend from Sebastian)

I WILL FURTHER GUARANTEE THESE TO YOUR LIKING, (Looking almost like new!) IF NOT --A FULL REFUND--, IN THE FIRST 3 DAY AFTER RECEIPT TO LOOK THEM ALL OVER. BUT ALL SHIPPING IS ON YOU. AND IF YOU SEND THEM IN TO THE COMPANY FOR REPAIR...AND FOR ANY EXTREMELY REMOTE REASON THEY COULD NOT GET THEM REPAIRED FOR THE CTX 3030, I WILL AGAIN --GIVE YOU A FULL REFUND-- OF THE $75 YOU PAID ME. THIS ALL SHOWS THAT I AM NOT AFRAID OF REPAIRING THESE, AND HAVING A VERY NICE SET OF HEADPHONES, ALL FACTORY CHECKED OUT AND TUNED, ETC.
A TWO LEVEL WARRANTY ON A USED PAIR OF HIGH END QUALITY HEADPHONES.!!!.. THE ONLY REASON I AM OFFERING THIS WARRANTY. If you return them, I will gladly refund your money and keep them for parts for my other 2 pair of these for my 3030, and 7000, and Equinox with that EB adapter, that works perfect.

JUST WANT TO SEE SOMEONE ENJOY THESE HEADPHONES AND MAKE SOME NICE FINDS. Far too nice a pair of headphones to keep for parts only. So very little to lose.... return shipping I guess. What $10-15 to Florida? Your call Mike. Any other questions supply your email here please.

DECIDED TO KEEP THESE FOR PARTS...as I have Grey Ghost Headphones for both my Minelab CTX and my Garrett AT MAX. And also my Equinox 800 using the converter cable . BTW... To me the sound of the Grey Ghost's is excellent, plenty powerful, as is the fit and finish. And now I know the company is good to work with from their emails. Thank you.
