WTB FISHER CZ3D SERIAL #1021

HELLO,
I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR A FISHER CZ3D SERIAL NUMBER 1021 I LIVE IN NEW ENGLAND AND HUNT OLD COINS AND HEARD THERE IS A EXTRA TONE FOR OLDER COINS?
THANKS ...TONY

There's not an extra tone for older coins. The CZ3D incorporates a 4 tone audio ID and has both Salt and Enhanced modes. The Enhanced mode is utilized when hunting low trash areas with age and will push older coins (especially nickels) into the nickel range which is a high tone. It is also the only detector that will register a US half eagle gold coin as a high tone target as well. In Salt mode it behaves just like any other CZ unit. There are other members of the forum with much more experience with the CZ than me but that's it in a nutshell.

JeffNS said..."There's not an extra tone for older coins." He was right. The extra tone on the CZ3D is to let you know when the detector has identified "foil" as a target. The reason being, "foil" is where most of the small gold ladies rings (with STONES!) identify on nearly all metal detectors.

I have one and love it. It was designed for a specific group of detectorist looking for older U.S. coins (which most detectors ID as pull tab/Zinc, ie... "mid tone") and push them up into the high coin tone. We can't tell if it's an older coin until we dig it up... we can only know that our possibilities of it being an older coin are much better using the CZ3D. Of course... you have to be where old coins are to begin with :)

I know you are looking for an older 1021 series,, but there were some with ser.#'s 1121, like mine,, which were made in Los Banos , as well . Good luck !
