General Rules

The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

Rules for Non Sponsoring Sellers:

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
  • Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.
  • Do not put links to eBay.
  • Do not put links to other forums where you may also have the same item for sale or trade.
  • Dealers are not allowed to post in Classifieds unless they are a sponsor.

Advertisements not adhering to the above rules will be deleted without warning or notification.

WTB Bounty Hunter Control Box or Detector

I know I do not meet the requirements to sell on here, however there is nothing about wanting to buy so here goes (I am very active on other forums using the smae username).

I am wanting to buy a used Bounty Hunter metal detector control box, the muffler looking thing with the knobs, or whole detector if need be.

After being forced to sell my detectors last year I purchased a new Tracker IV locally over the weekend, long story short my motherboard/pcb was destroyed and it will not be under warranty.

I have two shipments coming of extra goodies, one from Kellyco arriving today of the 4" coil and headphones, but now no detector. As I spent my savings on the new detector and other accessories, I am hoping to find something used to replace it.

The shaft and 8" coil are still brand new and unused so nearly any Bounty Hunter brand detector should work great, a Tracker IV/Pioneer 101 is what I know and probably the cheapest so it would be preferred.

So if you would be willing to sell me just the control box "muffler" (removable by two screws on the shaft), or want to sell the whole thing - Send me a PM with what you have for sell and a price. I can send payment via PayPal or money order.

I appreciate the offers I have received, but have to say they are out of my budget and more than a brand new one.

My local Hobby Lobby sells the Tracker IV new in the box for $62.99 (they always have a 40% coupon offer every day for the past 5+ years), it can also be bought at that price on their website with the coupon code read from their website ad page.
 
I have a RS version of the tracker that is in parts right now. It has been a while so I don't know why I took it apart. May have been lose battery connection or something. I ended up getting a new detector and it has sat in pieces for years now. It is missing the battery cover and screws and but the case and board are in tact. You can have the control box part of the detector for $5 plus shipping. Let me know if you want it.

I bought a replacement Bounty Hunter control box from a forum member for next to nothing, much less than I could have hoped for. :D

Many thanks for everyone who made an offer, tried to help me (Thanks Kevin), and a big thanks to Chadd - I'll have a working detector again.
