Wringing out the old sweat band today - not too hot but we finally got some rain. A whole 1/4 inch in my rain gauge.

I hit a park this morning that I hadn't had time to do completely last week - got about 150 coins , the world's largest nail, a brass cross, 2 toy cars, a wannabe silver chain and at a second park I got a gold ring. The chain isn't stamped and my test kit showed it to not be silver.

that much more gold is worn down here than in your area. If it's not there then it cant be found. Except on the beaches , Steve in so az

I think you've got something there Steve... I've been to a bunch of tot lots, but I don't see that kind of action. As far as the beach is concerned, I haven't been able to go under any good conditions... so I haven't found much at all. In fact, the beach has been so sanded in, I haven't had that many targets (and I'll dig ANYTHING in the wet surf ) I've got a good shot tomorrow as I'll be able to hit a negative tide on the north shore. Hopefully the weather will hold up. Either way, I'm going. If it's raining, I'll don my rain gear and use the CZ-20
