Picked up a Classic II SL last month sent it in for a simple repair and a check up while they have it.They got it Aug 27Th.Got a letter in mail other week saying they got it.Todays Sept 12th gave em a call to check on it.Yup still awaiting in line for its turn to be worked on, the tech said give it another week .I'm not worried whites has been A OK to me in past when I needed something, often times asorbing the cost. and no charge... This will be my first Whites that I have owned in a while, the price was right....so I can wait.....and plus I have another detector that I can play with another oldie but goodie just like the classic II sl will be when I get her .In my learning book the oldies find the goods better than the newer gizmo detectors.

I sent my 5900 Di Pro SL to Sweet Home and it was back at my door in three weeks..........Cost? Zero...... White's reputation is tops,.......No worries Mate!

At seasons end I'll be sending in my trusty DFX for some repairs and a checkup.

I theorize that due to price of metals, lots of White's owners are dusting off inactive machines and finding they need repairs. Folks buying used White's units and finding they need work. Seems like the whole world wants to detect these days. Along with the usual pre-Fall seasonal work.

This pattern is the same every year.

It was only yesterday that I called whites,to check on the Classic II SL that I had picked up and sent to them for repairs.Because a item on it was broke on it when I got it.I was told yesterday a week more.....Well whites called today saying it was done and needed payment for repairs, so that they could ship it.The repairs was more than half of what I paid for detector by itself, I can't complain though the detector wise was in sweet shape cosmetically. I know she well be ready to go when I get her back. Now I got to decide if I want to have Mr.Bill do the mods, when I get it back.....hmmmm maybe i will play with iy first......gosh such a hard decision:biggrin:
