[attachment 218027 1787-gold-brasher-doubloon-eb-punch-on-breast.jpg]In a photo provided by Blanchard and Company, Inc., a rare 1787 gold Brasher doubloon, which sold for $7.4 million, one of the highest prices ever paid for a gold coin, is seen in New Orleans, Friday, Dec. 9, 2011. Blanchard and Co., the New Orleans-based coin and precious metals company that brokered the deal, said the doubloon was purchased by a Wall Street investment firm. That would be sweet to find. That one coin would allow me to instantly retire by postcard :)

like winning the big lottery, if I had that much money, I would buy up old estates just so I could metal detect at them, them I would put them back on the market for sale. Good Holiday all, CO

That's been on my wish list for 25 years. Maybe next year:detecting:

So I am not the only one that thinks this way lol There is one community a few miles from my home that still has beautiful homes from the 1600's - late 1800's and I think to myself, "self, if I ever hit the lottery for multi-millions I am going to own this road lol. "

And another one on standby with extra coils, coffee, cigars, brandy, and batteries holding an umbrella while you watch your butler digger wearing a tuxedo and white gloves dig up the target with a gold plated lesche! "Right here Jeeves, and mind you dont ding the coin" You could have a string quartet along as well, off to the side of course, so as not to be too distracting, playing Steve Earles "Copperhead Road" or some other appropriate classic. You could have a "showfur" drive you around in a RollsRoyce to hit some totlots, for a change of pace, and one whos job it is to just drive around throwing Walking Libertys and Barber Halfs all over the town! Maybe take a few trips every year to look for gold nuggets in Alaska, or Antarctica, heck, just buy one or the other..when you get tired and want to soak in some warm salty water, jump on the Lear, and go to the Carribean! If any of you ever hit the Lottery, my name is Jeeves, PM me for details!
