WOW!!! :bouncy: 2 FIRST with the CTX

Wow!!! What a great day with some first with my CTX... Well... Me and a hunting buddy went to an old school site that has some pillars out by the road that have 1927 on one pair and 1928 on the other pair. We got to hunt the site the other week for about 30 minutes. Today we went back and got to spend about 3 hours digging. This site is now used as a community center and an auction site for tractors and farm equipment once a year in the fall. There is a fair amount of junk so we dug our share... No pictures of it... you all know what that stuff looks like. Anyway.... after digging some junk and some clad I started hitting WHEATS. The first one was only 2 inches down. I was very surprised when I pulled it. The next 6 Wheats were 4 to 6 inches down, and everyone of them sounded good when they hit... It was awesome. My buddy was hitting Quarters like I was hitting the Wheats. I think we were a little jealous of each other. I was wanting some of the quarter action and he was wanting some of the Wheat action. I have to say that I'm glad that I got the wheats and he got the clad... LOL... Anyway... about 30 minutes before we leave I hit 2 first. 1st.... I hit my first silver with my CTX... I was so jacked up... But then I realized that I had another first.... MY 1st War Nickel and it was with the CTX.... WOW... I was even more jacked up!!! What??? I was thinking my first silver with the CTX was going to be a Rosie or a Merc... Nope... A 1943P War Nickel... Yeah... it could have been a bigger piece of silver but what are the chances of hitting a War Nickel? I guess it's like hitting a seated dime or any other piece of silver... Well... I'm still jacked about it. I think it makes a great first silver find with the CTX... Maybe it's just me. I had another dig that I'm including in the pictures posted. I thought it was a musket ball at first but I don't think so... It cleaned up like brass and it has some weight to it. It's not lead. It looks like a 2 was stamped on it in a couple of place... I thought it might have been a ball bearing but I don't think so because I've never seen a bearing with a number stamped on it. If you have any ideas please let me know. So anyway!!! It's a party around here right now... Let the silver flow... Now let's hit the gold!!!

Thanks for reading and HH

Also... I have an unboxing video for my CTX if you are interested in watching it.

Nice hunt!

That 1913 is in great shape except for the pitting , stick her in some hydrogen peroxide heat a little bit for 30 second and put coin in there let sit for 10 minutes and repeat should clean up better then it is . Nice first hunt from box to dirt .WTG sube

Awesome hunt! War nickels are pretty rare.
