BEEN READING ABOUT THE GB PRO,GB DP.,THE 8000 OMEGA AND THE G2 NOW THAT GETS CONFUSING:wacko:TRYING TO FIND THE BEST ONE AND YET THEY ALL HAVE THE SAME LOOKING CONTROL BOX ,BUT MUST HAVE DIFFERENT CHIPS AND BOARDS.ALL MADE BY IST TEXAS.THE ONE THAT HAS THE BETTER CHIPS AND BOARDS IS THE KING OF THE HILL:confused:
SO WHATS THE BOTTOM LINE,SINCE I ORDER ONE ON THE WAY TO ME ,SCARED I MAY HAVE ORDERED THE WRONG ONE:shrug:

Just the G2 and GBPro are the same. Different control rods pretty much same control box face.19KHZ dual processors 11" dd coil standard..

The Omega8000 is 7.5khz different insides single processor and different face and controls on control box comes standard with 10" concentric coil but you can choose the 11" dd or 5" dd with it..

Good post! Feel free to call me with questions!

what you going to be using it for?

blank planet

I got the GBPro with 11" & 5" coils and now have the 5x10 coil. I couldn't be happier with it. Mine with the 11" coil hits on my test coins. Nickel 7 1/2", Dime 7 1/2", Quarter 8", Penny 7".

You won't go wrong with the G2 or GBPro/DP. Great relic hunters too. I hear the Omega is a great coin but for all around relic/coins especially in iron trashy areas I would get a G2/GBPro/DP. I like that the 5x10 has a long cord and I can take it in the water.

God Bless, Merry Christmas,

Well I don't know what the GB or Omega are worth. I guess that depends on the individual. But the Gold Bug is the best machine I've ever used in heavy trash. I pulled a nice button and CW bullet out of an old cellar hole last night that was littered with thousands of nails. And the Omega is the best machine I've ever used. Period. And I've owned about all of them in my forty some years of detecting.
