Wouldn't have been rained out today if I had the AT Pro.

I took my DFX out before the rain started but of course as I parked the car at the site it started to rain. I hunted in the rain about an hour but I finally got to nervous about my detector getting wet. Got me thinking about the AT Pro. Anyway so I'm bored today so I sharpened my digger, cleaned out my finds pouch and planned my next hunt. HH. Matt

I've been walking around in the house with the metal detector locating the nails in the floor stringers just for something to do! Wife wont let me dig holes in the carpet!

my ealge spectrum stays in the car when it rains and i take out the at pro. found one cheap on craigslist $330. Surprisingly stable and deep-seeking in the saltwater at the beach, even in surf, just follow garett's recommendations for use in saltwater. It easily registered a bottle cap about 10" deep in wet sand. I'm still checking it out. If it works well enough at the beach, i'll sell my Sovereign.

On dry land, if its not raining too bad, I much prefer the Spectrum.

Why would you want to hunt in the rain? If I'm at the beach, it doesn't bother me, but otherwise you are going to get wet regardless of rain gear, the ground will be muddy and a mess to dig in. I think have a rainproof / water resistant detector is great because showers come pop up out of nowwhere sometimes. I wouldn't purposely go out in the rain to hunt though.

Might depend on how far I drove and how promising the spot! I have one though and really like it for certain jobs.
