Howdy Guys and Gals,
I'm goin nuts with all this snow , and I'm doin plenty of research to be ready to hit the gates runnin when the ground thaws.
But , ive done a bit of horse Packin and Guidin around MT. here, and I keep gettin these Ideas of building a Wood box.
With slots and ? foam ( insulation board maybe), That I can put 2 detectors in , to stabilize and protect.
I daydream of gettin up high, where only hunters go on foot ( Usually aftyer gettin there on horseback.
Theres old huntin camps, and old prospecter areas, and a few old cabin foundations.
1860, to 1930? was kind of boomin around here.
Anyhow,
Do you all think these detectors are tuff enough to withstand constant movement on a horse,
and maybe an occassional hard jar, ( Lotsa bear and moose and elk) you know, horses get kind jittery sometimes.
Then of course, theres always the chance of a wreck , ex. 1000 lb animal, slammin box against tree.
Im a little worried that these new detectors are going to take up my horse time.:
So ive been tryin to work this out.
Would you do it with yours??????? Have you ever ???
They are kind of spendy, took us a few months of savin.
I might build a box anyhow, for the 4 wheeler,, but the dimensions would be different.
Well, thanks for your time readin this,
Maybe someone has some feedback
Thanks,
Dusty
