Would the the F75 be a good partner to my Explorer SE?

Basically i'm looking for a 2nd detector to hit all my sites with. Wanting something that is very fast (explorer is not) with a quick recovery speed to cherry pick the goodies. I considered ordering a GoldMaxx (too expensive from the UK) but thought the F75 would be nice with its target ID.

Need opinions plz.

Thanks

The F-75 is just what you've been looking for !! I have had an Explorer 2 for 2 years and the F-75 for 4 months . I use the F-75 for most of my hunting now . I use the EX-2 primarily on shorter hunts of smaller areas . When used in the same areas It seems like they both take turns finding what the other missed . I prefer the lighter weight and the balance of the F-75 . So far I haven't went as deep with the F-75 as I have with the EX-2 .
Like the EX-2 the F-75 has the backlight and can be fitted with the SunRay probe these are very important to me . Batteries last a long time on the F-75 also .

You would quickly realize you need to sell your SE and get a second F75.
I wish a lot more people had the same mentality or lack there of as they would leave a lot more good coins for the rest of us !
I have both and they are both at the top of the heap. However the new SE Pro coil with less weight and much better ballance has caused the dust to build up on both of my F-75s.

Believe the man..he speaks true !

I loved my Explorer. I only sold the one I had because money got tight.

When time came that I could comfortably purchase a detector again, I had planned on getting another Explorer. But I started hearing about Explorer users that were going to this F-75 and it caught my attention. I decided to play a gamble and try an F-75 and if I didn't like it, I could sell it and then get an Explorer.

The first place I took the 75 to was a spot I had found prior to selling the Explorer and had cleaned 'er out with it. I had ran the Explorer without any disc so I could hear everything and to speed up the recovery time a little. And hunting with it that way had got me a lot of goodies.

But hey, the spot was close to the house and I just wanted to see how the 75 handled. I wound up with a drop bullet in just a few minutes time and I think that was the hunt I dug the hooks off a plate. It made me go "hmmm". The next site I went was a site me and Jeff had hit a bunch in the past, he with his Nautilus and me with the Explorer. I got a very deep round large caliber roundball that blew us away because of the depth.

Well that day we decided to hit the spot I dug the arrow hooks at...that lil spot close to my house. And right then and there I knew I was keeping the 75 and not getting an Explorer. I took off like relic hunters so often do...right back to the very spots you have dug relics in the past. Just to see if something else came up. I had dug a couple drops in this little living room size area with the Explorer. Well guess what it missed....how bout a daggum eagle breast plate and a half dozen drop 3 ringers?! And since that day, the site had put out close to 30 drop bullets and 4 or 5 eagle buttons. The Explorer is good but the 75 torques its doors here.

Its a good compliment, hits targets close to each other better than the explorer but if you open the explorer up and use no disc it does a real decent job also.
Both are very deep. I think the explorer IDs better at extreme depth and is just easier to use in that you dont have to readjust any ground balance settings while hunting.
Id say try it and if you dont like it just sell it.

I traded all my detectors and purchased the Minelab SE pro, and an F75. I put them to the test all the time. I'll take them both and turn one on and hunt, find a target, turn it off, and pick up the other, turn it on (ground balancing or noise balancing each time and swaping each time) and check the readings. I've never found a target that the other unit couldn't find. I'm still trying to figure out the SE as I'm not as confident with this unit although I've found some nice targets with it. I just seem more confident with the F75 and have found several more finds with it (a thousand dollars or more in gold jewelry in one park). The SE is suppose to find the silver (found one rosie), and the F75 is really finding the gold (although I found two rosies also). I have to use the swingy thingy with the SE and pack an extra battery pack and work slow. With the F75 it seems as though I never change a battery, it's so light I can do above the waist hunting (verticle cuts) with more ease and I can work it as slow or as fast as I want at times. With me being a spinner bait fisherman and not much of a jig fisherman, I think the F75 just fits my character better (also loved my MXT). I'll be giving the SE a look at the beach here soon and maybe it'll be reason to keep it. So really the question from me is WOULD THE SE BE A GOOD SECOND DETECTOR TO MY F75???? Or should I sell it and get another F75? HH, MeNstick
