Not likely, the CTX is not that sensitive to very small gold.

Yeah. I figured that would be the case but I was hoping maybe a specially designed coil would take care of that. Seeing how they're so smart now. Wasn't sure if the coil itself could be designed to operate on a single high frequency like the x-terra series or if it had to be all FBS all the time.

I doubt it but who knows. Minelab has made a very upgradable machine. I know they are constantly working.
