Would I like a WOT...

for primarily coin shooting in inland areas (no beach). The ground is frozen here in SE PA and I'm considering buying some kind of new accessory for the explorer. A lot of people seem to use them on the beach, does any one use them inland and if so how do the compare to the stock 10" coil in the depth and pinpointing dept.
Thanks,...George

Hi George,
I've used the WOT this last summer and I
was very impressed with it. I hunted areas
that I had previously hunted with the stock
coil and the SR8 and made some nice finds.
But I think every coil has it's own little
contribution to give.
The WOT can give you some arm fatigue after
awhile but I didn't have much trouble
pinpointing and I think it picks up coins
on edge easier.
I've never used mine on a beach but I now
use it more then I ever did the 10.5 coil.

The size and added weight of the WOT is a silverlining in the cloud. What it does is forces you to go slower and this in turn forces you listen closer for the faint short signals. All detectorist have there own rhythm of swing and speed and I have found that mine changed when I bought the WOT
