Would an Eldorado with a 12x10 get same depth as a Tejon?

Paul,
There would be very little difference in depth. However, it would depend upon what type of hunting you were doing as to how practical the 12x10 on the Eldorado would be. If you are primarily interested in coin and jewelry hunting, the Tejon with the stock 9x8 would be better (actually I would use the new 5.75 on the Tejon much of the time). If you are searching for larger relics etc, the 12x10 should serve you well. Overall the Tejon is the better machine as the price would indicate. I saw one post that said a problem with the Tejon was that it got too deep sometimes. I would not find that a problem, but if someone did they could always turn down the sensitivity.
If the money is not an issue, my advice is to go with the Tejon. You can add different coils later, but with just the stock 9x8, you have an awesome detector.
