Would a 1236x 10 1/2 " coil fit my old 1265x with a plug change??? Please!!!

Having bought a 10 1/2 " coil to fit to my 1236x ,I was wanting to either try it on my old 1265x or swap the standard coils between the 2. The plugs are different,1265 has all the 5 pins rotated around the outside of the plug whereas the 1236 has 4 around the outside and one in the centre. Am I right in thinking the 1236 is 5.5 to 5.9 frequency and the 1265 4.8??? so I suppose that would mean that they are not interchangeable-although with a plug adaptor or plug cahnge, they,d fit:confused: Sorry if I,ve posted along these lines before, but i,m still very confused,Cheers everyone.

I too am a little confused on this,I bought a 12"Hot head that was offered as for 1200(including the 1266,and 1236) series and it fits right on my 1236x2.
But then fisher lists different ops frequencies(4.8K)for the 1266,and (5.5-5.9K)for the 1236x2.
The 1236 has center pin and 4 outer pins.
This is a great sight, but geotech has a dedicated coil forum,You may get an answer there.
