WOT question for Doc or some other WOT whiz

How tough would it be to throw an Explorer connector on a WOT that was originally for an Excalibur? Or is
it simply not electronically possible/compatible?

The WOT for the Excalibur has a preamp board in it, the WOT for the Explorer does not. They are not interchangeable.
