WOT Coils

SurfPro

I just received a couple of WOT's to use on our Sov GT's for beach hunting. They came with a rubber washer, that I can't get on for the life of me. It goes between the shaft and the coil receptacle, on one side only. It would make for a snug fit, if I could just get the dang thing on. Every time I push the shaft down into the coil the washer pushes up and out. I'm thinking there has to be a trick.

Any suggestions would be appreciated,

Thanks,

My coil was used, about two times before I got it. I had no problem getting it on. Maybe try the other way or I got an idea, try some type of silicon/marine based lubricant. If you want, you can post pics of what your looking at.

Good luck with them. I don't care for it in deep water, but on the wet sand its a killer on deep gold. Just be patient with the noise, its runs a little more unstable then the stock coil...but the trade off is worth it and after 1 hunt you will know a false from a real signal. I run mine a little hot I suppose I could back my sensitivity off too.

I have picked small foil balls and lead split shot with my WOT on land. I was surprised how sensitive it is. So maybe I can hit some decent gold if I get the coil over it..... Also it's good about finding coins on edge that other machines and coils missed.

I greased the washers and got them on. Thanks for the input.

Good luck with your new coils. :]]] I love mine. But, at same time...it is beating the heck out of me. hh an gl -Joe

The wife and I had a great hunt yesterday using the WOT'S, no bling but lots of clad. These coils go deep, found a small button at 2'.

Joe, google Doc's Swingy Thingy. We've been using them for a couple of years now. We had a 5 hour hunt yesterday with no problem. The guy's sold 20,000 of them, they work great.

Gonna look it up now...I am in need of something...my arms just can't take it. Glad you had fun with wots. They are just rediculously deep. Gotta work hard sometimes...but its worth it...:detecting:

I had a WOT on my Explorer down at the beach, and of course THE SWING thing was in use. I can hunt a lot longer with the use of the swing thing. The Depth on these WOT's is crazy deep. I love it when I find a Cool one burried in the sand...:goodnight:
