WOT coils

Has anyone used the big wot coils advertised? They claim 20+ inches on dimes,is this true or just hype? And how do they work in trashey areas?Thank you in advance.

The deepest signal I've dug so far with my WOT was a fired CW minnie ball at a measured 14". This was in "Good Ground". As for trashy sites I feel it outdoes the stock coil. I can understand more good signals with it compared to the stock.

Phil; I kind of asked the same question, about the sunray x-12 versus the WOT. I recieved about ten e-mails from people who had both. In all areas except weight the WOT was rated much better for depth, discrimination and excellent seperation in trashy areas. Only one person reported findings but he found a dime at 14 inches and a penny at nearly 15. The sunray is a good coil but most said it was only slightly deeper than the standard ten and one half coil on the explorer and slightly quieter. The biggest advantage with the sunray is the lightness of the coil, much less than the standard ex coil. Hope this helps. Good luck whichever you choose. HH

Biggest problem is getting them from coiltek. First they put them on boat towed by dolphin, then repair rusty boat, Get new dolphin, other one died from old age waiting for boat repair. Finally gets to us shores but no kangaroos to carry them to vegas. Order kangaroos, get another dolphin, kangaroos arrive but sick from sars so have to wait for their recovery. WOT's will be available may 31 if kangaroos recover in time, but may be three to four months late as they are not sure where vegas is.
