WOT coil

The 15" WOT coil is on the way from Doc's place. I'm going to first hunt a local park that dates back about 120 years and I've got a lot of silver out of with the 10" stock coil. Any tips for the WOT or ideas are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I think you're going to like the W.O.T and find more coins in a shorter time. I also added a X-1 probe to my machine. Now, with all the extra weight I could only hunt a couple hours until fatigue set in my arm. I bought a "swingy thingy" from Doc's Place and can hunt all day now. It's just a little awkward to get use to, but it sure takes the strain off your arm. Pin pointing can be a little tricky because you have almost an acre of ground under your coil <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol">
Good Luck & HH

Got both the swingy thingy and the X-1, Shooter, so I'm ready.

Got the Swingy Thingy & X-1, but WOT so light have not used the swingy thingy yet.

TRY AUDIO-1 FOR THE DEEP FAINT TARGETS IN A 120 YEAR OLD PARK. PROBABLY HAD FILL ADDED THRU THE YEARS AND COINS COULD BE 12"+. GAIN 6-8. SENSE WITH VERY,VERY LITTLE NULLING. SLOW DOWN TO A SQUIGGLE OVER A TARGET WHEN YOU HEAR A GOOD QUICK TONE. USE SOME IRON DISCRIM UNLESS YOU ARE REALLY GOOD USING AUDIO-1. START AT IRON DECRIM 16! .... LOWER AS YOU GET BETTER! GROUND BALANCE OFTEN...BALANCE IN IM OFF AT 0 DESCRIM AND WITH STABLE THRESHOLD.... HOLD COIL WAIST HIGH AND COIL HORIZ TO GROUND AND DONT MOVE TILL OVER. NOW SAY YOU BALANCED AT 26 SENSITIVITY, IF YOU LATER TURN THE SENSITIVITY DOWN TO SAY 21 YOU DO NOT HAVE TO REBALNCE BUT IF YOU GO HIGHER THAN 26..YOU HAVE TO RE GROUND BALANCE!!!

Braveheart, when you say to rebalance - are you talking about NOISE CANCEL on the EXplorer?
