worn cam locks replacement?

My upper shaft cam lock seem to be worn from standard usage thus the lower rod is slipping.....can you replace anything? Or just you have to buy a new upper shaft with a new cam lock?

I believe you can get the replacement parts for the cam. Contact your dealer or Minelab customer service. Is it still in warranty?

Probably the red rubber pad is worn. There is a video (how to replace) these I have seen but it has been awhile. Call Minelab and they will send you new pads. 1-877-767-6522

That makes sense! thanks so much for the information!

I have tried to get replacement camlocks for explorer 2 and told that they do not have and had to bur new shaft!

After 45 minutes of waiting on the phone with Minelab....they told me that Kellyco could supply the replacement parts. After calling Kellyco...and after a few minutes of them and factory discussing the issue....Kellyco said they are sending the replacement pieces(red). So, hats off to Kellyco on this issue.

So, my friends you are correct about replacing the "pads" instead of just buying a new upper shaft that would also solve the problem but would be more costly.

Thanks to all!
