One poor soldier.....lead soldiers are quite collectable. unfortunately, this one was destroyed. How's this for one heck of an ugly ring?

Here's an advertisement out of a 1926 magazine promoting the toothpaste I found. The caption reads:

[sub]"If you were 200 miles from a Dentist, wouldn't you employ the safest means of protecting your teeth"[/sub]

Congrats on your finds John! I agree as to the ring! It is Ugly! It does count as a ring though, Beale.

Cool finds! Yeah, it's hard to find the lead figures in good condition, still a nice find! Dang - that ring is truly hideous - I had to squint and look away quickly...arrrggghhh!! You must have really offended some deity this time!! I like the old ribbon dental cream and shaving cream tubes - back to when they were still trying to convince the public that they needed it!

Iff'n that ring is silver or gold, no way it's the ugliest, or even top ten, in the world. Iff'n it's tin or such, well... then maybe. Looks like a good hunt, and fun was had. congrats. Artie

Congratulations on the findings:clapping:, the soldier brings back pleasant childhood memories ...

The ring covered with diamonds, would still be ugly, uglier than me in underwear ...

OK, John, you win!! Yes, that is truly an ugly, ugly ring. But the lead soldier is a cool find, maybe you'll find the other half next hunt.

Cool finds. I've come across the exact same toothpaste many times. I actually really enjoy unravelling some of the old tubes and various garbage. I find it quite facinating. What is the decorative horizontal piece in the middle ?
