working on the nickels

Finally got my pattern down where i don't miss many nickels. Set the open screen which is #2 on the machine to300hz from 1to9 second bin nickels 10 to15 1000hz 3rd bin 15 to 29 700hz 4th bin 30 to 50 1000hz ferrous at 120hz bottom bin..This pattern works well in the machine gun pull tab area.or anywhere lets you know there's a nickel hit without looking at the screen.Tried it fo 2 hours at the fairgrounds today 17 beaver tails 2 v nickels 1899 1906 6 Jefferson's and 1 Indian 1902 1 wheat 1917 . this is open screen combine tones fast on ferrous coin .Been watching pin point with target trace i think i can get rid of digging half as many beaver tails by watching how it fills.

Excellent job on the V nickels! Maybe someday I will get one, or an Indian... Can't wait to get out next Saturday and try again.

Most places i hunt the nickels are still there. You just got to here them the v nickels were only 4 inches deep the 06 i got is in super shape. Found 4 in the last two hunts.Found v nickels and jeffersons that buff is waiting for me

I set it up going to give it a try :twodetecting::minelab::cheers:

Tim there's a lot more information the machine is giving just got to put it together and try different things.I been trying to see how they sound and there a lot wider sounding then the beaver tails. The target trace loads different from the nickels to the beaver tails. The beavertailsl are mostly shallow any deep hit past 4 inches is a good chance of being a nickel.
