Worked the North End Today and Hauled in .43 Cents in Clad. No Loot. Still Sanded In and Ruff Surf

Bummer. Sorry to hear that. Hopefully things will change this weekend. Sounds like it.

Meanwhile, the bike is coming along very nicely. I got a new tank off eBay for it and got it on there today. HUGE difference from the "Eddie Munster" coffin tank! It's starting to look like a Shadow again.

This is our annual MC Toy Ride to Children's Hospital of the Kings Daughters. Registration is from 9am-12:30pm. Police escorted parade leaves Janaf Shopping Center, Norfolk at 1pm sharp. Cookout at the end. Rain or shine, 2 wheel or 4 wheel.

That coffin tank was an atrocity. The new one weighs a 1/4 of what it did too...I think it was made from scrap destroyer hull plating...the guy that made it was a shipyard welder. Anyway, I MAY put it on eBay, just for a laugh. It would cost more to ship than it's worth.

Anyway, here are a few pics. First is the bike after I got it from a yard sale a couple weeks ago for $500. I cleaned it up, polished it up, put synthetic oil in it, new plugs, new filters, adjusted everything and put a new tire on it. And a fresh coat of Krylon black from Pep Boys. She was mechanically right and I've put a couple of hundred miles on it. I then got a new tank from eBay. New from Honda is $557. This one was $100...got a nice "Sniper shot" off on it. :)

I have a side cover coming for it too, hopefully by the end of the week. It's also red. And then a new seat. Over the winter it will get a new coat of paint I think, maybe metalic purple...we'll see.

So the following pics are what it WAS and what it IS now. More later, when it's done. So far I have a total (with the $500 I paid for the bike) of about $750 in it. When it's over it will be $1000 to $1200 maybe. So far, I'm very pleased with it. It's a blast to ride too.

Heh...as soon as the BIKE is done, I'LL be ready for a DIVORCE!

This is something like what I'm looking at for the paint...maybe a little darker...down the road a bit.
