Worked out parks

KING OF ACE

Metal Detecting on a "worked out site" is never going to be anywhere near as much fun as detecting on a virgin site  . Years ago when i started metaldetecting around 1977 many sites were still un detected on. Some sites were "carpeted in coins and rings" and many other old and interesting valuable items - very true honestly. It was hard digging all of the coins and other old relics out of the ground because the soil was fully loaded with non ferrous down to around 4 inches.Ask any one who used a detector in the 70's. Sites had many more good finds in the soil. Good finds out numbered the trash .. When i upgraded to a cheap TR machine i started to find even more of the "deeper coins" 4 inches!. It was very easy finding good targets even with a cheap bfo machine. Today things have changed and we now find our selfs using machines costing over a thousand
