Worcester Mass - Parks

Will be in the area in a week or so and was wondering if there is any rules against metal detecting?
Also, if you can hunt the parks are there any that are still giving up any keepers?

I graduated from high school in Worcester ... anyways, I would check with city hall about park rules. Or you could simply hit a park and start detecting until someone questions what you are doing. And always be aware of who is nearby ... there are plenty of bad neighborhoods there like every other major city. But I would check the rulebook personally.... And no park is ever really hunted out .... Worcester has been occupied since the early 1670's. Good luck !

Hey Kirk my friend!

I see you're heading my way once again, but sadly I don't see me making a connection with you, as previously promised unless.....

You are planning to come down to Cape Cod- I moved out of FR this past January. Sad thing about the Cape- NO PARKS! I found 1 little place, across from an old church, popped out an 1853 Seated dime and not another coin! If I had any places at all, I'd invite you down.

Regardless, good luck out in Worcester. Looking forward to your post about your finds!!

Take care buddy...

Jeff
