wooo hooo a new T2SE

thanks to richard at backwoods detectors im the proud owner of a T2SE took her for spin today went to a park area for two hours thats been pounded by me and plenty others found two quarters one dime seven pennies deepest coin was seven inches, its a easy transition from the f70 to the t2 so far for me and i really like the pp trigger hh
 
I am on my second week as T2 SE owner myself, but I am totally new to the hobby so everything is new to me. I have been amazed at how fast two hours flies by when you a park hunting. Have you found a favorite setting so far? I have kind of locked into 70sens., 39discrimination., but I am thinking about moving the discrimination up and maybe trying 50 to where a a programmed boost is reported to occur. I think half the fun is trying to find your favorite setting. I cannot wait until my Sunday hunt.

i have not ran it enough to have any favorite settings i ran bp mode mostly with the sense between 80 and 99 disc around 40 mostly, i think tommorrow i will up the disc to 50 or so to see how it does, good luck on your sunday hunt hh
 
ATL.....50 disc is not a purported increase.....it is a DEFINITE increase in the gain/sensitivity of the T2. Just try it in home bench testing. It will be very apparent the difference between 49 and 50 and how far a object will be detected in air test. This air test translates to ground performance.
 
50 disc in bp mode or any mode, i tried 50 disc today and i did notice its a little more noisy im still learning thanks for the tips, hh

Yeah, I just did not want to come across as someone in the know since I have been at it for only two weeks. I did have my second three hour Sunday hunt today. I ran 55 Disc. the entire time and was very happy and I could keep the Sens. at 65 with virtually no chatter. I dug 15 holes and hit coin in about 10. I also had a new hole record. On my first hunt I found a quarter and three pennies in the same plug, today I found a quarter, two dimes and two pennies in the same plug. I also found a house key and a quarter next to each other in another plug.

I am really having fun. Three hours passes by fast. My oldest coin was a 65 dime. I was this close to my first silver. :) Another big plus, an entire city work crew come by to quickly edge, weed-eat, and change the trash. One of the supervisors came by to chit chat about what I was finding. Second run in with park workers, and so far so good.
