Woodsmen of America Medal

New member
Hit an old yard today got over $4 in clad, 4 stinking wheat cents and these were my only two real keepers. The heart is a medal from Woodsmen of America. I found an image on google that showed what it originally looked like, wish the axe had still been attached. Was nice to get out, all week the temps and humidity have been horrible! was only 84 saturday.

Nice medallion! Don't feel bad. I was out in the heat for 2 1/2 hours and got 2 Wheats so you beat me!!

That was still a nice find. Maybe you can get lucky and find the axe.

I sweated it out Friday with cladtohunt and Saturday with Mangum. It is hot and humid here in South Carolina. At least I was able to pull a Mercury each day (both 1944). Cladtohunt found a nice 10k ring with a large red stone and 5 of six diamonds still present.

This is the first summer in years where the ground has been soft enough to even dig! Usually it is like chipping a brick in July and August.
