I went for a woods hunt here on my property today. Found a double bit axe (the 2nd in two days) and quite a few spikes...not sure what to think? if possibly they used rail to move timber. The dog is my beeping partner and the location of the finds is accross the river from that picture

Wow, thats your backyard... you can detect ,then catch a fish for lunch..looks great. Sorry no help on your finds but just looking at the axe gives me blisters and makes a guy appreciate chainsaws

Yes...fish and hunt paridise. The trout are small 8"-10" average..but tasty just the same. As far as the axe head giving you blisters...lol....that is so true!!

Gad, I guess you are really taking to that AT. Beautiful place to live, fish and hunt. With a TV remote and cable TV you could almost say you are in heaven. I don't think you can carry many of those spikes before your pouch fills up?
Another thing you sure do take good pictures, good clear pictures. Nice work Rich. Happy Trails....Z
