Gas here is 1.42 a liter. Too expensive.

Cool digs man! Is that 1909 fish scale the round or pointed leaf variety?

I'm kinda confused on this leaf thing. And I'll explain why.

1. The leaves on the 1909 are IDENTICAL to the ones on my 1899/1911/1920 fishscales.
2. The ones for sale on Ebay and say pointed leaf are IDENTICAL to my 1899/1911/1920 fishcales.
3. Websites list the holly as the pointed leaves.
4. The 1899 typeface is spaced differently but I believe it to be the same leaves.

So my question is.

Are the leaves normally holly and the maple is the differant one?

Nice job! Love those Canadian silvers and even though I'm in New England, I'd love to find a fishscale. Found only 2 canadian silvers in my 10 years of detecting :( I think I need to make a trip over the border

It's hard for me to tell, but it seems that you may have the round (ML) leaves. Now, if you have the Cross and Bow Tie type, you have only the 5th one known. I can't see it clear enough in your pic, but man...could you imagine?!?!

And what is the cross and bow type?

Btw for a coin that is supposedly only 4 known....there sure is ALOT of them for sale on Ebay for 50-100$$

I'm not totally sure but I do think mine *IS* cross over bow tie. One side of the cross is fatter, sorta like a axehead. I'll try to get a macro shot soon.
