Talk about a trading/buying frenzy. Just traded my M6 for a Vaquero w. stock & 10x12" DD coils. Along with the 2 DD's I'm getting with the Diablo uMax, I'll have quite the coil selection. Might just have to sell my GMT now. If the Diablo turns out to be hot enough on the small stuff, the GMT could turn out to be unneeded. At least I now have a use for all those NiMH 9v batteries that I've got lying around. Also, it will be interesting to see if all the hype surrounding the Vaquero is justified. ..Willy.

I have it on my Tejon and that coil is unbelievable. The stuff it finds and pulls out of the trash is great. I haven't used the stock coil on my T for awhile. And it finds small targets DEEP.

Then again, I have been hunting trashy parks with it, and have not had the chance to get out in the fields, hence using the small coil. What's great about that coil is when I am on the ground searching for the target in the hole or in the dirt outside the hole, I just grab the detector with one hand on the shaft and swipe the small coil over the dirt. It's its own pin pointer !

You will love the Vaquero.

Willy,
Congrats on the detector trades!
The uMax coils don't fit the Vaquero.
I agree with therover that a 5.75 coil will really add to the versatility on the Vaquero. I have the concentric, but the 5.75 in widescan (DD) has been highly recommended too.
Enjoy and keep us posted!

Hay Willie,

congrats on tha trade.

Tha Vaquero does need tha 5,75.

It will grow on you. It seems a bit

aquard with tha switch on tha knob,

but tha push putton helps. I never

use tha push button foe pin pointing.

Use tha AM ta hunt if ya can. It's

discriptive.

When ya have a good sound that

checks in AM, dig, until ya learn

when not to.

But it can pick um out for me.

I'm not use to a lot of machines,

like you. But I do like my V.

Happy Huntin,

Tabdog
