Woo Hoo, First Silver Coin for the Year

I finally found a silver coin this year, a 1942 Mercury dime. A lady let me detect around a house probably from the 1930

Will there be anything left for me? And don't say all the zincs you leave behind....:yikes::punch:

A 1944 Mexican "Josefa" like that was my very first detector find, back in '92, when I got my first modern detector (a GTA-500). Found it in my front yard, before I'd even gotten the first Memorial cent.

Congrats!

Congrats![/quote]Here in CALI Mexican coins aren't to rare to find. I could tell by the depth, location and patina that it had been in the ground while. In '06 I found a 1942 silver 20 centavo Mexican coin. It had small tabs on it like it had broken off of a necklace or something.
