I was beginning to think my detector was jinxed. Even the Indians I've found couldn't get me into this years 1800's club. I went back to one of my old field sites this morning and gave it a good going over before the corn gets any taller. I finally broke the curse. Its not the oldest coin I've ever found but its the oldest U.S. coin I've ever found.

Awesome Daryl!!! Congrats on your find and breaking into the 1800's club.

Sweet! Congrats. So what is the coin? Or are you saving it for the meet?

Lol Definitely congrats. Great coin! Nice work making it happen.

Great find Daryl!!!

So Star finally took that piece of foil out of you coil. BIG CONGRATULATIONS Daryl on the old large cent. It was meant to be and happy you're the recipient of the 1800s oldie. Great detecting and HH, Nancy

Congratulations Daryl, a LC that old with a readable date is a fantastic find...:clapping:
