Woo Hoo, Crown Me King, I Hit The 10,000 Mark:hot:

I went to my old school today to find 14 coins. That would get me to coin # 9,999. I found the 14 and a crown pendant. Then I wanted to go around some old trees by the creek and see if I could find an old coin for #10K. I couldn't find anything around the trees so I went on a trail by the creek and found a 2001 d Rosie Dime for number 10,000. It has taken me 491 hunts over 1 year and 8 months to find that many coins. My favorites in that number; a Ben Franklin half dollar, some Mercury dimes, a Seated Liberty quarter I found with one brother and a 1939 nickel I found with another. Count the junk I've dug and that is a lot of walking, swinging, bending over and knee bends. It was worth it. Today I found 20 coins for $2.08. Only 9,995 to go to hit 20K.:detecting:

Here is what our creek looks like. There isn't any water here in CA.

Way to go bro. I envy you for having the climate to be able to do that. I've ended this year so far at 7686 and that was minus the hunting season last winter and the start of this one. I know I could have hit 10k easy if not for where I live. As you said, it's a lot of bending and digging but the rewards are worth it for sure. Now onto the next 10k...........:bouncy:

If there is no water than it sounds like a good time to MD the streams. Swimming holes and ferry crossings. I sure Cal. has a lot of them!!

Have fun, it's 20 F. here and is almost a white out.

Hey John, they have a lot of "ferry's" in Calif. I'm not sure he wants to cross them....:rofl: With the drought they've had down there it's no problem to walk out in the middle of the lake. You don't even get your feet wet. Boats, motors and tackle boxes. Don't even need a detector for them.....:surrender:
