Have you ever gone back over an area you had dug before and found another coin in the disturbed soil? I ask because I dug out a dime the other day about four inches down, in a spot I had already recovered something. I'm the only one hunting this spot so I know it was in one of my previous holes. Does the weather(frost heaves, etc.) have that big of an effect on the soil? I always go over a dug spot just to make sure I didn't miss something before moving on. Now, I'm going over the entire area I've been working for the past month and am surprised at where I getting stuff. I know I'm not real good yet, but I also know I'm not THAT bad!
