Wondering about the Dual Field

I've been thinking of getting a used Dual Field. How is it to pin point with? How is that little coil within the coil? Is it worth spending $500?

If you're looking for a PI for use on a saltwater beach it's hard to beat. I think they pinpoint very well for scooping in the sand. I wouldn't want to use one on a well manicured lawn. Many folks think it was worth it at $900 so yes, I think for $500 it's worth it.

CJ uses one exclusivly I believe and he finds his gold! I am sure he will chime in. If your in salt water I do believe you will be quite happy with one.

I have one I use down south on the deep sand beaches and it works great for those deep buried rings. Pinpointing is fine with it for beach hunting, never had a problem with that at all. Definitely a well built pi!

Got mine in August, '09 and it has paid for itself a couple of times!

Still doing such a fine job I call it Mr. Dual Field out of respect!:please:

Check my past posts for details,

Good, simple machine...turn on and go...pinpoints well,deep..one tone to decipher..as long as its a newer machine, check inside battery case for sticker,500 would be a good price for it,although i have seen them for less used, but no idea on age....replace gasket if you do get a used one! Good Luck

Older gaskets that age and are prone to leaking are Black. The newer gaskets are Orange in color.

CJs has only paid for his a couple of time because he gave 48 of those heavy gold babies back to their owner.
