Won the Stingray

Lakota

New member
Any advice on the Stingray. Since Tesoro as of last I checked doesn't have the online manual available. I could use any setting / or tips that users have with this machine. This is my first water unit, though I have played in the water with my Cutlass uMax and F75. Was able to find out the frequency from another member 10 khz.

Any help would be appreciated,

Lakota

Must not many stingray users out there lol

Wont be the first time I have to wing it with a new toy ;)

Good luck with it!

Thanks Hank, Im pretty stoked about getting wet beyond knee level. I have a good feeling not many if any of my fellow detectorists in my area have been getting wet. Seems the ones I have met either run a walmart bought Bounty hunter or a whites ( 1 pawn shop sells them, no water machines though)

So I'm feeling good about my chances of getting into some more gold, My little Cutlass uMax has been tearing up the gold and silver already this year. Think this Stingray has some catching up to do :D

Hey Lakota you may have some good grounds to hunt! Sounds like it to me! HH tigerhank68

:clapping::lmfao:You will kike you Stingray,I had one for about 9 years I think I still have the manual around here some where if I can find it I will send you a copy. The stingray is my fav detector of all time ,it my not have the depth of the Tiger shark but it likes gold chains and thin rings. The settings are about like the Tiger, the GB is on the in side of the SR the tiger is on the out side so read the tiger manual it will help, stay away from the TR switch set gb in all metal then hunt in dis mode.set dis to min to find chains just above foil to knock out nails. When you close the case make sure that the o-ring is clean and not damaged.and close both latches at same time .good luck.

Pulltab, thanks for the heads up.

And the manual. Its been driving me nuts that their older manuals haven't been up since I was watching two Stingray auctions and the info would have been nice to have before I won lol.
