Women Detectors

Are there any Women MTX users out there? Sometimes I feel like I'm the only woman into this hobby and I'd like to hear from some others. I also feel like people look at me more strangely out swinging my MXT than if I were a man.

Hmmmmmm, men look at you more strangely swinging a metal detector....?
Might be a compliment of your good looks. An excuse to look at you longer than a fleeting glimpse. Especially if a man is married and his wife is sitting next to him in the car as they drive by...LOL.-----"...loook dear, she has a metal detector, wonder if she is finding anything...?
I'm sure there's many more women using a MXT,some even post here and at the Beach and Water forum. Have tried to get my wife to try mine. She didn't like it,the way it felt, she likes her green machine. Ooooh well.
Happy detecting

I understand that the MXT is becoming the preference of women who choose White's detectors as well as the detector that most men are looking to get for their wives. It's light, ergonomic, easy to use and kicks butt in the field!
My wife LOVES her MXT but she doesn't care to make posts. She does however make me read the interesting or informative ones to her and offers comments but just doesn't post them herself.
Thus, I'm under the very distinct impression that you are FAR from "alone". You'll just have to act as their voice till they come around. Like Tara in the DFX classroom and Diana in the Beach Forums.
My wife says it's because most women prefer to just listen when men may be part of the company. She certainly doesn't just listen if I'M the only company!
So if you ladies out there are just holding back why don't you at least just post once to reassure TEK and the others?
All of you are CERTAINLY MORE THAN WELCOME TO CONTRIBUTE OR ASK QUESTIONS. That's why it's a classroom forum ... to learn and share!
Ya'll Pass a Good Time!

Hey tek, im a male detector but I am glad there is female detectors out there. I think this hobby is still so relatively new that everyone that detects get looked at a little strangely. Unless its some weird freekazoid checkin you out. Thats when you pop out the tazer and give him a taste of the hardcore female treasure hunters. Good luck out there. HH

This detector has been the best she has used and sometimes too good as she will beat my finds with my Minelabs. My wife dont read the fourms or post on them, or you would see her on here. Another one of our club memebers uses a XLT and got his wife a MXT and she too does better than he does as the MXT is easier to set up and easier to use and understand.
