Wizard probe

diggindog

New member
I used the wizard for the first time. Great tool! The vibra probe is waiting for me at the house. Can't wait to compare the two!

I am not familiar with this probe, but I just looked on ebay and it looks like a cheap yellow kids water gun!

Let us know how you like it. I have gone through 2 WHite's Bullseye probes this year, and will not invest in another. Even the store says they are crap nowadays.

I just recently purchased a Wizard Vib Probe. Never used a pinpointer probe before. Now I can say I'll try not to be without it. Sure saves a lot of time. I did however modify mine so that it activates with the trigger.

I too was sucked in by Whites "Bulls Eye " probe to the tune of a
Hundred bucks, and it is not worth a flip. Oh well, live & learn.

Try a Sun Ray and your problems will be over, plus you can detect with it on shallow targets under five inches.

I had one, gave it to my son and bought a VibraProbe; Other than being a bit "klutzy", I prefer the Wizard. Picks up signals on the side of the probe, not just the point.

But Bill is right, I'm getting a Sunray and the Vibra Probe will be the back up.

I bought a Wizard probe and used it until the screw that held the fine tuner in place came loose. I tried to repair it at it never worked again.. In my opinion they work well, however there is a need for some major design changes. I then bought a VibraProbe and I am totally satisfied with it. It is built like a tank and is waterproof.

I won my first - it stopped working within a day. Brought it back to the hardware store and got my $ back.
Bought my second at an auction - stopped working within 3 days - I'm stuck with it. Website 'fix' didn't work. :surrender:
And it looks like a gun - suggest painting it yellow if you insist on having one. :bouncy:
