With Imaging I would never have dug this.

I just hunt parks and school grounds and I have used imaging alot, glad we didn't have it back then because I probably would have not dug this, too big for coin or ring. Also those old detectors found as much stuff as the present day " state of the art" detectors. Anybody that say's different don't know what they are talking about. EZ-Does-It

Imaging is certinly a big help, but sometimes that gut feeling to dig or not is what its all about. Remember a cache of coins will be big and could be worth a years hunting. I still say any experienced detectorists can tell big or small to a degree as signal covers more ground but imaging not an exact science narrows it down..I know some old timers with old machines tht would put us all to shame as they have learned their Machines well..Congragulations on the nice find...

Because I know what that there plate should look like on the screen and sound like through my ears. No way would I have skipped that.

WE found stuff with the old detectors because we had to dig everything. I've got a CW belt plate with a crack in it. Wonder what it would bring on Ebay?

Yeah I have a buddy who still hunts with an old Compass 77-IB and he thumps my nub often.

Bill do you remember digging up the foil from Gum
wrappers? Or rusty old bottle caps. EZ-Does-It

I remember digging up every piece of junk ever lost. Course I had an early Bounty Hunter BFO that couldn't find a cannon ball in a tub of oatmeal. I started out in 1963.
