With everything so uncertain...

Pete in MI

I decided to buy a fishing license (first one in years). Figured if all else fails God will give us fish to eat. I got thinking about it and thought 'yeah that makes sense'. Combining hobbies that work together.

With fishing I'll be at a river anyway so maybe put on the waders I bought for water detecting and get double duty from them. Then go water detecting to find lures and stuff I can use for fishing.

I remembered all those times I'd dig in the ground and find some big ugly looking grub while detecting. Now I can collect em and use them when fishing for catfish. Seems like the perfect marriage of hobbies.

(Will need a third pocket on my pouch - Goodies, Trash, Grubs hahahaha)

Mike from MI ya think that will blow the socks off the club members when I enter them in as 'unusual finds' :lol

Not sure how the job situation is going to shake out. Don't know when I will have a job and when I do when I will have time off to do the fun things I've been missing for a long time.

Well til the next time I can stop in I miss you all. God bless and keep you and best wishes on your detecting. Gotta go fill out a job application or two and head to work by 1:30pm. (Apr 15 is a bad enough day with taxes due without making it my last day working for this security company too.) Oh well life goes on.

catfish - to catch & to eat ! I always thought along the same lines - throw a fishing line out and then go detecting. Trouble here is there's very little water and no beaches. Good luck on the job hunt - I'll pray for a good opening for you, Steve in so az

I dig up lot's of bait when detecting! As for entering them in the contest, I know Al wouldn't pick them up!

I'll take a look through my stuff and see if I have any tackle around... I'll bring it with me to Michigan if I have any. I mostly fly fished until I started MD'ing so I don't think I have much in the way of tackle but I'll see what I can find.

gave up on fly fishing.

Thanks for the offer Joe.

Don't know if I am going to make the CMD hunt or not yet. Waiting to see what shakes out.

Pete:

If I could spend a little time with you I'd have you casting in no time :) It's really not that hard.
