A buddy of mine and I were detecting at an old 1840's plantaation site in Texas, he found this half, appears to be mexican silver, not brass or pewter...
 
kodak pro 14c with a 100mm canon macro..at .8megapixel for the web..not optimized or anything like that in photoshop...
 
1:1 ratio which is life size, cut a 35mm negative sized hole and put it over the relic, that will be the size of the area that can be zoomed in to.
