Indeed, we and most people, often focus on the negatives, in our lives, rather than the good. With practice and positive thinking (mind over matter), we can be whatever/whomever we want to be but we're only complete when our main focus is on God through Jesus Christ His Son. When God/Jesus is front and center, in our lives, everything else settles into its proper place.

Yes, Bill, we need to fix our eyes on the silver lining of dark clouds instead of the cloud itself, for rain must fall in every person's life at one time or another, but it is so natural to dwell on the negative instead of the positive things in life which we can by keeping our eyes upon Jesus and His love by His wanting to give us the best that He has for each of us! Amen!
