Wireless - I want these

onslowsmith

New member
I have the Radio Shack wireless (love the wireless), but the tones are muted/distorted relative to wired sets.

These look like the ticket: Sleek Audio

If anyone has these, let us know how they work!

They look good to run with too!

Call me a pessimist... Call me suspicious, but this looks like ad SPAM to me..... Low and behold Onslowsmith's first post to these forums are an ad!!!

Hey Crash620 - Looking at the way I posted that, I could understand your suspicion. I'm more suspicious than most, I actually think most posts on product-type forums are marketing spam. I think they are usually more clever than that, though.

Actually, I've been metal detecting for 15 year. Just a lurker. I've had over 10 different detectors, and like the E Trac the best.

I'd just like a really good wireless headphone solution.

headphones (33-1253) work just fine, got them on sale for $45 and are probably the best deal in wireless anywhere. Why pay $250+? John

Yes, they work, but I noticed the tones are different from my other (wired) headphones. Rather than "re-learn" a new set of tones, I thought there might be a better solution. Most wireless headphones have this problem (limited spectrum) and most accentuate the low frequency because people like the deep bass..

Still, too much money unless I knew they would work.

Those look like they might be worth a try. I hate product sites that don't list the price, though.

My ideal design would be transmitter/receiver that any headset could plug into. I don't mind a cord connected to a belt battery pack, I just don't like the cord connected to the detector. This design could support bigger batteries.
