Wireless Headphones?

Hi all,

Besides the discontinued Auvio 33-283 wireless headphones, are there any other makes and models that I could use?

Thx..

well, i know of one NOT to get. the rappo h3070 ones. they are nice, not bulky, well made, with good sound. however, when going over a target they have a slight echo or feed back from the tone. they were suggested by another detectorist who uses them. when i asked if he had the issue. he said to turn down the volume on the detector and it up on the headphones. the vaquero has no volume control. so i only use them if somewhere where people are around like a park. i understand if you dont have the volume control on the detector, have to be careful of the ones to get because of that. turning the threshold down does not help with it either.

Go to radio shack and get an inline volume control. Plug it into the detector then plug the transmitter into it. Will give you the adjustability you are looking for.

thanks, camper. i found that out. going to do just that before springtime. will not be able to get back out until april here in maine.

I have been looking for a pair for my cibola that won't break the bank, what else do you need to make it work. i ask the guys at the local radio shack but they didn't act like they ever heard of anything like that before. i know you have something to plug into the dectector to send it to the headphones.

yes dirtdigger. on the rappo h3070 there is a small transmitter that plugs into the detecter. need a 5 dollar 1/4 - 1/8 inch adapter for it. i just ordered an inline headphone volume control to put inline before the transmitter to decrease the volume from the detector to the transmitter since there is no volume control on my vaquero. (like your cibola) and control tone volume on the headset volume control. i read that will stop the slight echo or feedback sound from the beep of a target in the headset. for 10 bucks i will give it a try. their nice headphones, not big and bulky, made well too. cost about 60 dollars with shipping from amazon. i just dont like the wire myself. even though i cannot go out now here in maine. i will know if it really works air testing them.

I use the TDK700 wireless headphones mainly during the summer but when its very cold then i prefer the full cup Deus headphones of course only on my Deus as they keep my ear warm as toast.

If you like your wired headphones, get the BTunes plug for them, then your corded headphones become wireless.

I saw the video clip for that and I don't think they will work with the Grey Ghost NDT as it's a different plug.
