Wireless headphones

I've gotten interested in the possibility of purchasing a pair of wireless h.p.'s for my Gold Bug Pro.----Is there a pair out there that works excellently with the Gold Bug (no lag time, crackling sounds, etc)?-----Any & all info appreciated.--------Thanks, Del

I haven't had good luck so far but I have not tried the high dollar ones yet. I even tried a transmitter like they use for a Ipod to a car stereo and using a amfm Walkman to receive. But it was also crackle and slow.
good luck and let us know if you find something that works.

I have a set of auvio wireless headphones and a set of plug in black widow headphones....... The auvio wireless is very good at parks/coins/relics etc....it will even hear my test nugget but when i switch over to the black widows my .112g test nugget is much more distinct so for the gold nugget/ prospecting i stay with the 150 ohm black widows....... I prefer the auvio wireless for parks and all non nugget hunting...... On a scale i would say the auvios do about 75% of what the plug in black widows do. I would think that any 150 ohm headphone would outdo the wireless.Others may feel differently as i have not tested them against any others.

OK, I just checked. They ARE 150 ohm...not that I know what that results in, in terms of better sound, but... :)

Resistance (as measured by ohms) doesn't seem to me to be a spec that would at first glance be an intuitive thing you'd want to consider when looking for headphones...obviously it must be important, but I can't logically deduce why that would be, at first glance...

I wanted to get the sun rays as first choice but couldn't find any used ones around as they sell fast (the black widows block out most outside noise and get very hot inside but are remarkable)...... the 150 ohms vs say 60 ohms will give you much better distinction...... not loudness but distinct.....simple terms would be like having the bass all the way up and the treble all the way down on a radio...... now the 150 ohms are like putting the bass all the way down and the treble all the way up so it sounds more crispy.... I don't know how to explain it any differently. Any of the 150 ohm headsets will do you well and having separate volume controls is a plus
