I hope some of this Will help... I don't know your Detector, but Maybee somebody Else Can say something.

Radio Shack has a pair that works well. There is no sound delay like in older versions. The transmitter is very small so nothing too huge hanging of your detector.

I really liked them but I found one problem. I was using them deep in the woods on a hot summer day...I sat and took a rest and set them down to dry the sweat. Ithen left them and started to walk out...dumb me....tried to go back and find em but the growth was so dense I never found em. There went 90.00.

Now one thing is they are not as large ear cuff as dedicated detector phones are....I would have liked a larger earcuff to cover my ears so they sat firmer on my head. They were a decent fit but not like a set of Grey Ghosts.

You would need to get the Garrett adapter so you could plug the transmitter into the headphone jack.

This winter my goal is get another set of these and a set of Grey Ghosts and see if I can adapt them into the Grey Ghosts...or I could call it ..."how to ruin $200.00 of headphones without really trying"..:)

[size=large]the ones from radio shack have a 1/8th plug. you'll need to purchase the 1/4 adapter and i suggest you get the 90 degree one. and make sure it's brass not plastic. these also need to be recharged after a few hours hunt. can't say how long they last. i haven't used mine much. wasn't that impressed with them but that's just me. the headset is light and not uncumfy to me so as stated above, if you take them off be sure to put them back on.
they are slim enough to lose even in a grassy area. i haven't tried them with my ATP but did with my XLT and Explorer se. worked okay with them.

Every wireless set that is out there right now has a noticeable lag - no matter what anyone says.
We have tested them all...the TDK and the Rapoo have the exact same technology - Kleer.

Until a headphone manufacturer makes a wireless headphone specifically for detecting - they will never perform like a wired set...

Dear Barry...I think it is only 0.0001 second we are talking about ? It is allso weird that many Detector People there are using ex.TDK WR700, don't say so..
If you are useing the same set-up at the televison, and you Got a noticeable lag, nobody Will then buy them. Or am I wrong with that !
Concerning the wireless Bluetooth systems, They are not recommed at all. (Lag)
XP deus and the CTX 3030 are both working Very nice with some wired Headphones, and they are built to by wirelees. So I don't agree with you.

TDK-WR700.......have a fraction of delay, depending on how fast the coil is moved.
AUVIO 33-283......No Delay, not even if one move a target very fast in front of the coil and no one can move a coil that fast and be detecting.

Works just fine when :detecting: with a blisstool v3 also

I'll second it that the Auvio's have no delay. I've used a pair for years with good success.

My goal was to find wireless earBUDS or behind the neck phones, so I could wear a brimmed (yeah, a 10 gallon sombrero, heh) hat and to go wireless. My Auvio 33-283's lasted for 3 months and a few days (90 day warranty). As mentioned, they're no longer available (I got them on eBay). I found them usable, but with a tiny lag. I bought one of the newer bluetooth (2.1) transmitters (TaoTronics TT-BA01) and behind the neck headphones (Kinivo BTH 220) from Amazon. They still have a noticeable lag - I can use them if I slow down, but it takes more effort than the wired sets, so....). The lag is noticeable even when watching TV. The good news is, I can listen to podcasts and music from my tablet, notebook, or ipod anywhere in and around the house, so not a waste, and they only need a charge every couple of days. They're also super-comfortable.

I am still dreaming of a no-lag, high quality earbud or behind the neck headphone for the detectors, so please post if you find one that you like.

Ok - if you all believe that a 34ms lag is NO lag - then please enjoy the phones.

When I take those TDK 700 (using the Kleer technology) and swing and hear the target 8" to the left and then 8" to the right of where the target sits right on the surface - that is annoying.

Also - those phones are not constructed for outdoor detecting use - way too flimsy unless you are dallying around your local schoolyard picking up clad...plus having a 20-20,000 harmonic range distorts the detecting tones we are used to...

And they do burn batteries fast.

To each their own.....Enjoy and Happy New Year.

I use the Auvio 33-283 also with good results

Need help with Garrett at pro. I want to go with ear buds bought Garrett adapter Koss vc-20 inline volume control 1/4 to 1/8 adapter. just external sound none to ear buds. Tried stereo male to stereo female, mono male to stereo female adapter, still just external speaker. Even tired RS inline volume control, still no luck. Any other suggestions?

have you tried the stereo male to stereo female and the inline volume control on another device? It sounds as if there is no circuit between the detector headphone jack an the headphones.
