Wireless Headphones!

Captain Hook

New member
Well I broke down and bought the Radio Shack # 33-1253 wireless headphones. I took them out this afternoon for a few hours and they work great on my MXT. I had to buy a 1/4 x 1/8 jack adapter to make it work, but no problems. No lag, interference, etc... I also bought the replacement warranty. It was great to hunt without a cord dangling down.

I guess I'll have to break down and go to Radio Shack to see what they've got.. Any certain brand? Should I take my detector with me or not?

Just ask the guys at Radio Shack for part number 33-1253. Then tell them you need a 1/4 x 1/8 jack adapter. The headphones come with rechargeable batteries. The package says they should last about 7 hours. That should cover most of our hunting time.

Thanks for the info.. I guess I should have read what you said a second time and I would have caught on real quick.. Sorry! on my part.. You gave all the info in the beginning of your message. I'll go there tomorrow and check it out. Thanks again for everything..

Larry had a pair for his DFX, but didn't like them one bit. The audio quality wasn't what it is with the others. This was a few years back, and technology has changed. He loves the phones that came with the new Vision-3! Good luck! HH, Nancy

Could one purchase the headset that Larry bought with his Vision-3 and use it with his MXT or not...? Cliff

Sorry Cliff, the wireless headphone transmitter is built into the V3 system. White's is always looking for input from the users of how to improve it's products though. If enough requests are made, who knows what they might do.
